Cyber Rakshak was born from a simple observation: India's digital adoption has outpaced its cyber safety infrastructure. The scams that reach an Indian phone — UPI collect requests, KYC updates, lottery wins, job offers — are specific to this market, and detection has to be tuned for them.
So we are building a platform that checks those threats, and that records an incident in a form that cannot be quietly edited afterwards. The Windows app is built; the mobile app is still in development.
It is consent-first by design, and aimed at the threats Indian families actually meet.

The evidence is gone by the time it matters
The message, the screen and the call a scam happened on are usually deleted or lost before anyone files a complaint. Evidence has to be captured while it is happening, in a form nobody can edit afterwards.
The fraud here is local
UPI collect requests, KYC update demands, lottery wins and work-from-home offers are the scams Indians are actually sent. Detection has to be tuned for them specifically.
One person protects the family
In most households one person is the one who notices something is wrong. They need to be able to cover everyone else's devices from a single account.

UPI Fraud Detection — in development
Submit a payment request or message you were not expecting and we check it against known UPI collect-request and payment-fraud patterns. The app that will send them to us is not released yet.
Evidence that cannot be edited
An evidence record cannot be deleted or rewritten once written — only details added later can change. Capture is part of the mobile app, which is still in development.
Cyber Crime Helpline 1930
1930 is India's national cyber crime helpline, and cybercrime.gov.in takes written complaints. Dialling it from inside the app is planned for the mobile release.
No SMS, call-log or contacts access
The Android app requests none of those permissions. Anything you want checked, you submit yourself — there is no silent collection to opt out of.
